At the 2011 Saris Gala we will honor Jim Ochowicz and members of the 1986 7-Eleven Cycling Team. This year marks the team’s 25th anniversary which is a perfect time to celebrate the team and their contribution to U.S. Cycling. The 1986 7-ElevenTeam was the first U.S. cycling team to participate in the Tour de France. The team made history that summer and started a new chapter in American pro cycling and cycling culture.
